Responsibilities

  • Manage the team that is leading the key security metrics for the company through company-wide Security Fundamentals

  • Help security teams across the company by defining the bar, any variance that is acceptable, and the criteria for such variance

  • Reaching consensus on the work and ensuring that the GC tracking mechanisms are complete and provide full coverage

  • Leading a team of software engineers with data science support to determine how much telemetry must be normalized, and drive development of this pipeline

  • Surface insights to engineering teams, leadership, and Microsoft senior leadership team, as needed, to update and influence

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Software Design, or a related field, or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical experience is required

  • 15 years' minimum experience in Software Engineering or Software Development

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of information security experience

  • 10+ years managing people, including software engineers.

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience in script-based or compiled languages

  • Experience driving security design requirements across multiple teams and products

  • 5+ years managing PMs and/or data scientists

  • 5+ years of cloud services experience, including building and deploying products at scale

  • Experience creating content and board-level communications to make project status and needs clear to executives
