Responsible Procurement & Compliance is accountable for influencing business operations and supplier engagement to maximize our benefit to society and minimize corporate and supplier risk. We manage an increasingly complex network of global sanctions, import and export controls, and regulatory and legal requirements – including data security and privacy requirements, responsible AI, environmental impact, human rights risks, all in accordance with our values as a company and our commitments to society through our policies and our obvious objective of complying with the laws and regulations that apply to us around the world.

As a Director of Responsible Procurement & Compliance  in the Procurement organization, you will play an integral part in driving this mission and navigating us into the future. You will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of compliance and integrity, accountability, and transparency while ensuring Microsoft and our suppliers adhere to the highest privacy, security, ethical and socially responsible standards while driving operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading a high performing team and delivering success through empowerment and accountability by modeling, coaching, and caring.

  • Define team objectives and outcomes; enable success across boundaries; help the team adapt and learn.

  • Balance risk with agility to move the business forward.

  • Leads long-term plansand framework for evaluating policies, laws, and regulations and implements solutions to meet business needs including holding suppliers accountable to our ethical, social, and trust standards to protect Microsoft and move the business forward.

  • Implement supplier code of conduct and other procurement policies to ensure adherence, regulations, and standards.

  • Provides vision and champions innovative principles for the defining of controls by identifying potential failure points. Drives solutions to addresses routine and complex issues as well as drives forward thinking to anticipate and correct future issues.

  • Consults with senior corporate leaders and leads the team to develop a strategy oriented towards the future around compliance, privacy, security, and responsible AI programs.

  • Drives andscales key societal impact areas of accessibility, human rights, supplier diversity, and sustainability societal impact commitments and through our supply chain to achieve Microsoft’sdiversity and sustainability goals.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

· Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 8+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement

o OR equivalent experience.

· 6+ years management (e.g., people, project, process, vendor, change) experience.

Business Program Management M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $124,800 - $266,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $159,000 - $292,200 per year.
