As Director of Direct Performance Management, you will lead a team that is dedicated to improving performance of the web direct channel by driving data-driven insights and recommendations for improving business results, delivering our performance narrative via our rhythm of business, and ensuring our marketing investments are maximized. You will take a collaborative approach across multiple corporate and regional teams and use your business acumen, curiosity, critical thinking and solid communication skills to help your team deliver clear, actionable insights and inform key strategies and plans for the business. As a manager, you will set clear goals and priorities for your team and coach them to continue to uplevel their function and increase their impact on the business. You will foster an accountable yet inclusive culture where team members can grow and feel like they can bring their authentic selves to work.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of high-performing individuals

  • Partner with leaders across functions to understand impacts and levers on performance and develop measurement approaches and frameworks to improve business results and the ROI in our marketing.

  • Refine complex information and data into compelling insights and recommend actions to advance our direct business.

  • Deliver insights into our rhythm of business with the agility, quality and pace expected of a global e-commerce player

  • Recommend analytics and data science priorities and partner with our data and analytics team as needed on scoping and delivery

  • Support your team and the broader organization by identifying areas of efficiency in delivering our rhythm of business, by rethinking process and leveraging recent technologies such as AI and automation

  • Lead key strategic projects to help improve business results.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years experience in retail, ecommerce, data science, research, marketing or business-related roles

  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Social Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 6+ years experience in retail, ecommerce, data science, research, marketing or business-related roles

  • OR Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Social Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 5+ years experience in retail, ecommerce, data science, research, marketing or business-related roles.

  • 4+ years’ experience working in a strategy, business leadership, or other quantitatively oriented role.

  • 4+ years experience communicating complex business information to a range of audiences in written, visual and verbal formats.

  • 2+ years' experience distilling customer and business insights and recommending actions based on data analysis from disparate sources.

  • 1+ year(s) people management experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years project/vendor management experience.

  • 2+ years people management experience.

  • Ability to deep dive into specific business areas or customer experiences and develop recommendations for measurement, reporting and analysis.

  • Experience working in a large, global organization with a disparate group of stakeholders.

  • Experience partnering with data analysts and data scientists.

  • Interest in understanding how AI and automation can be used to drive efficiencies and increased effectiveness for a team’s workflows.

  • Working understanding of eCommerce and marketing levers.

eCommerce M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $248,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 - $268,900 per year.
