Azure Hardware Systems & Infrastructure (AHSI) executive office is seeking a Director of Business Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Business planning and system of accountability: lead teams AHSI priority planning and execution. Coach teams to leverage data and Objectives and Key Result (OKRs),Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive system of accountability. Ensure AHSI level OKRs are aligned to AHSI strategic priorities. Review performance and execution progress, engaging stakeholders to achieve results. Creates clarity in ambiguous situations to facilitate and drive prioritization and decision making across AHSI.

  • Financial planning and forecasting : Lead budget planning, forecasting, and resource management in partnership with Finance, and leadership.Leverages knowledge of organizational strategy and investment priority to design and develop budget and forecast plan across complex portfolio. Partners with leadership to develop forecasting plans and align on headcount, hiring and budget strategies. Collaborates with Finance to approve budgets and develops metrics for budgeting and forecasting. Anticipates business challenges based on forecasts and coordinates future resource needs with the recruiting and procurement team.

  • Business operations and continuous improvement: Drive the rhythm of business (ROB) and ensure alignment with broader corporate strategies.Leads the ROB during planning and execution to ensure effective communication and response cadence among participants and stakeholders. Facilitate cross-team collaboration to ensure all key deliverables and ownership are fully aligned to support AHSI business and program objectives.

  • Cross- team projects and p rogram management : manage a portfolio of cross-team projects to meet the changing business environment and complex business needs. Guide teams in utilizing leadership direction to advocate for the execute new initiatives. Engages in project management or may act as a project/program manager to ensure organization-wide implementation of strategic efforts that require hands-on coordination across multiple functional disciplines and business organizations.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 8+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles

  • OR equivalent experience

  • 6+ years of experience in financial management,business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, or business-related roles or equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional Preferred Qualification s

  • 3+ years people management experience.

  • Master's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 5+ years of experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles OR Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 8+ years of experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles OR equivalent experience.

  • Experience with cross-organizational / cross-group development spanning multiple organizational structures.

  • Experience in hardware or supply chain management

  • A high tolerance for ambiguity and change.

  • Excellent design and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communications skills.

Business Management M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $273,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 - $299,400 per year.
