Microsoft Corporation Director, Channel Growth, Modern Work and Business Applications in Redmond, Washington

If you want to play a leadership role in one of the world’s fastest growing cloud businesses, now is your chance to join Microsoft Modern Work and Business Applications Cloud Service Provider(CSP) Growth Marketing team. We’re looking for a high impact, effective marketing professional to lead a team to further accelerate the Modern Work and Business Applications (MWBA) CSP businesses. This is a fast-paced, exciting role where there is always a new challenge. It’s a highly visible role in a space that requires both setting the vision for CSP channel growth and executing program excellence across the Modern Work and Business Applications Solution Plays.

To be successful as a Director, Channel Growth, Modern Work and Business Applications you should be able to build and execute Go-To-Market (GTM) innovation in the CSP channel based on a solid understanding of channel commerce capabilities, product marketing goals, and CSP channel dynamics. You will be responsible for growing our Modern Work and Business Applications CSP businesses by improving the fundamentals of CSP channel and implementing growth programs to drive our product offerings such as Microsoft 365 Business Premium, Copilot for Microsoft 365, Windows 365, and Business Central. This will require the formulation of both long-term business strategy and month-to-month execution plans aligned to Modern Work and Business Application Solution Plays to drive the CSP Revenue and net paid seat adds (NPSA) targets across Small and Medium Businesses(SMB) and Small, Medium, and Corporate -Commerical (SMC-C). You will need to collaborate with a broad set of cross-functional teams, including Product Marketing Management (PMM), Business Planning, Finance, and Business Development.

Responsibilities

  • ​Lead and coach a high-performing marketing team, empowering them to drive impact and growth 

  • ​Drive Modern Work and Business Applications CSP channel strategy and influence delivery of foundational commerce capabilities essential to CSP

  • Define and execute Modern Work and Business Applications CSP margin and incentives strategy including growth-based patterns based on a deep understanding of CSP channel and partner economics

  • Partner closely with Modern Work and Business Application Solution Play leaders to ideate and execute promotions to drive CSP business performance, while also developing new levers for GTM innovation

  • Develop and manage a portfolio of custom deals/programs that expand the channel in close partnership with Business Development and Finance

  • ​Represent the voice-of-the-CSP to our Business Planning and Commerce Engineering teams

  • Manage disruptive change to partners related to Modern Work and Business Applications products and CSP channel policies

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in business

  • OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 4+ years experience in business

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 4+ years direct people management experience or indirect people management experience (or virtual teams).

  • 4+ years of Product, Partner, or Channel Marketing experience with multi-national tech companies 

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Modern Work and Business Applications portfolio of products (Microsoft 365, Copilot for Microsoft 365, Business Central, etc.) 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 12+ years experience in business

  • OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 8+ years experience in business

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 6+ years people management experience.

  • Written and spoken communication skills at all altitudes, with actionable clarity 

  • Compelling storytelling and presentation skills, experience presenting to leadership level audiences 

  • Ability to break through hurdles and create new opportunities for the team by always pushing to learn the details and understand the root causes of issues. 

  • Collaborator on complex multi-faceted issues across multiple groups, with a great awareness to establish relationships that result in the right outcomes for the business and our customers. 

  • Ability to move others across organizational boundaries to a desired business outcome when there is no clear “ownership” of an issue. 

     Product Marketing M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $248,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 - $268,900 per year.
