Honeywell DCS Advanced Field Service Engineer - 75% Travel in Redmond, Washington

As an Advanced DCS Field Service Engineer (75% Travel required) at Honeywell, your primary responsibility will be to provide field service support for Honeywell HPS applications and products at customer locations. You will be responsible for performing maintenance, audits, configuration, programming, installation/commissioning, upgrades, and migration of complex/advanced Honeywell control systems, specifically EXPERION PKS, TPS/TDC300. In this role, you will be the main point of contact for the customer, representing Honeywell and ensuring the successful implementation, administration, and troubleshooting of Honeywell HPS products at the customer location. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining strong interpersonal relationships with customer representatives and providing first response technical support. Working closely with the Field Services Manager and LSS business functions, you will contribute to the growth of the business by identifying customer needs and providing solutions based on the HPS suite of products and services.

Candidate can reside in Utah, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, or Nevada as long as they are within 1.5hrs from an airport.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acting as the Area Migrations Lead or Branch/Regional Team Lead/Mentor, taking on a leadership role beyond just being a site lead or technical lead.

  • Leading regional MAP efforts and being the champion for branch migrations.

  • Handling complex SPOT and Project Scoping & Execution.

  • Planning and providing complex reporting to support incidents, as well as proactive maintenance support.

  • Driving asset optimization for individual customers.

  • Performing DCS maintenance, including in-depth knowledge of hardware and software components, field troubleshooting of common IO and loop problems, troubleshooting of end devices, and adding and deleting TAGS/Points.

  • Working with voltages up to 110VAC and 40VDC.

  • Configuring, maintaining, and resolving hardware and software issues related to Honeywell products, such as Experion PKS, LCN, and TPS.

  • Learning the end-to-end product/solution development and delivery/execution of Honeywell products and solutions.

  • Troubleshooting network connections of Ethernet and coaxial cabling.

  • Modifying and editing HMI graphics.

  • Acting as the focal point for Honeywell with the customer, providing technical solutions.

The annual base salary range for this position is $116,000 - $130,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. YOU MUST HAVE

• OPM (On Process Migration) experience (at least 3 years of experience) and/or L3 OPM Certification

• Must have and maintain at least one L4 CEAT certification and additional L3 certifications (for internal candidates) or able to obtain within 1 year (for external candidates)

• Valid driver's license

• Willingness and ability to travel 75% of the time. We support a large area in the West.

• 4+ years of experience with Experion PKS Hardware & Software, including Hiway, TDC, & TPS system experience. Knowledge of LCN, UCN, and Hiway equipment, as well as PC/Networking experience is required.

• Bachelor’s degree in science, Technology, Engineering, or Math AND 3 years of experience OR 7 years of professional experience in a related field

• Must be able to pass and maintain a clear drug screening, including THC. Testing is required for facilities under federal testing programs such as DISA.   

o Same rules apply if resident’s state it is legal.   

o Same rules apply if candidate has a Medical Cannabis card.

• Background check will clear for TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)

• Knowledge of Open Systems such as Microcomputers and Networking Technologies

• Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to clearly articulate messages both technical and non-technical.

• Experience & Training in Honeywell Applications such as:

  o TPS / PMIO.

  o EPKS / Series C.

  o Advanced Applications (PHD etc.).

  o Safety Systems (FSC/SM).

  o HMI.

  o SCADA (PLCSs, Ladder Logic etc.).

• Be self-motivated and willing to work in demanding environments with little or no supervision and take initiative to be proactive.
