We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Copilot Sales Specialist to join the Strategic Partnership Team (SPT). In this role, you will support the Americas SPT region by coordinating high-impact engagements in both planned and dynamic ways. Reporting to the Sr. Director of the Copilot Sales Team, effective partnership within this tight-knit team is crucial for success. Key focus areas include customer and partner engagements that maximize opportunities to empower commercial customers and partners to digitally transform their businesses using innovative solutions.

The team objectives are:

  • Execute multiple 50k+ Copilot License agreements as part of larger transformational technology wins.

  • Lead through influence, orchestrating various Microsoft organizations to secure large Copilot license deals.

  • Drive operational efficiency to facilitate engagements in collaboration with related teams and individuals.

  • Establish a strategic view on customer and partner engagements, ensuring clients see value in and invest in Microsoft Copilot.

  • Utilize the "rooms of the house" framework to align customer needs with Microsoft’s offerings.

  • Promote and manage Copilot licenses, ensuring customers leverage the full potential of Microsoft AI solutions.

  • Orchestrate engagements with Microsoft AI organizations to deliver comprehensive and innovative solutions to customers.

Responsibilities

The Copilot Strategic Seller is responsible for driving the adoption and sales of Microsoft's Copilot solutions within strategic accounts. This role requires a deep understanding of the Copilot technology, its applications, and the ability to articulate its value proposition to customers. The Copilot Strategic Seller will work closely with the sales team, product management, and engineering to ensure customer success and revenue growth.

Key areas of responsibility:   

  • Manage a team to develop and execute sales strategies for Copilot solutions within assigned territories.

  • Build and maintain long-lasting customer relationships.

  • Understand customer business needs and objectives to align Copilot solutions accordingly.

  • Act as a liaison between customers and cross-functional internal teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of our solutions.

  • Provide feedback to the product team regarding customer needs and potential enhancements.

  • Stay up-to-date with new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board.

  • Achieve and exceed annual sales targets.

  • Create and lead the largest transformational Copilot deals with the world’s most innovative and market-leading customers

  • Creates and maintains an industry-focused vision with business and technology solution scenarios and services that helps large-scale enterprise customers achieve industry-relevant business outcomes, achieve their long-term corporate vision, and maximize commercial success 

  • Develop system architecture blueprint for CoPilot use cases, both technically and process orientated to drive an ecosystem sell that starts with AI and security and enables both CoPilot and client Copilot development based on client data, and the entire Azure cloud infrastructure system

  • From a Copilot perspective, enable and lead strategic discussions with board-level/executives both with the customer and internally to design the end state 

  • Lead complex transformational opportunities to turn them into commercial agreements that deliver on customer objectives. Ensure a significant connection into delivery and success, post-sales, to help customers realize desired business value at scale

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years technology-related sales or account management experience

  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field AND 6+ years technology-related sales or account management experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • 9+ years technology-related sales or account management experience

  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, or related field AND 8+ years technology-related sales or account management experience

  • OR Master's Degree in Business Administration (i.e., MBA), Information Technology, or related field AND 5+ years technology-related sales or account management experience.

  • 6+ years solution or services sales experience.

  • Proven work experience as a strategic seller or similar role in technology sales with ability to understand and analyze sales performance metrics.

  • Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts and their business applications.

  • Communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

  • Solid customer service attitude with excellent negotiation skills.

  • Experience with Microsoft 365 and related technologies.

  • Prior experience in a role that required a deep understanding of customer needs and the ability to deliver solutions.

Solution Area Specialists IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,000 - $217,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $168,600 - $237,500 per year.
