This position will be responsible for providing HR compensation consulting services on all compensation related matters for assigned business units and will work directly with partners across HR, Worldwide Incentive Compensation, Line Management, and other Compensation team members to effectively support the business.
Successful candidate will proactively partner with HR and line management to identify and address compensation issues and evangelize Microsoft’s performance and development strategy to the clients supported. The position will work closely with the Global Compensation programs team on compensation plan design and process, representing both the client’s point-of-view in key corporate compensation initiatives and the corporate point-of-view with client groups.
Specific duties to include:
Partners with HR Line to provide guidance to the business and develop creative solutions on a variety of total compensation issues including the setting of appropriate pay levels, base pay, annual incentive pay and stock. This includes conducting job evaluations using both market data and internal evaluations.
Collaborates with Total Rewards team and HR Partners, as well as HR Business Insights (HRBI) to support complex data analytics capability. Responsible for requirements gathering, documentation, analysis, data validation and testing of dashboards and reports created.
Performs deep analysis on effectiveness and competitiveness of existing compensation programs and models potential impact of alternatives.
Will develop proposals and presentations about compensation programs to influence and educate HR and Global Talent Acquisition (GTA) partners as well as high level decision-makers.
Partners with regional compensation (globally) on compensation issues and will work on a variety of special compensation projects as needed.
The ideal candidate will have a four-year undergraduate degree in human resources, business, or related area or the equivalent in related work experience. Prior compensation experience required. A CCP is preferred. High Tech industry experience preferred. Familiarity with advanced statistical methods is preferred. Excel proficiency required and PowerBI. experience preferred. Excellent collaboration, influencing, advising, organization, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills required. Position will be located in Redmond, WA.
