Microsoft Corporation Business Administrator in Redmond, Washington
M365 (Microsoft 365) Core executive office is hiring a Business Administrator to add to the Business Administration team in Redmond, WA .
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Calendar management and meeting logistics. A suitable candidate will be able to manage a Director level or higher calendar from start and/or a very short time after starting. You will need to be able to adjust to the leaders operating styles and be fluid in your working style.
Cross-functional collaboration and communication will be a big part of this job. You will need to collaborate with all levels in M365 Core and build networking within and outside M365 Core. A successful candidate will be able to take direction and prioritize multiple requests from admins, teammates, and managers.
Discipline Growth and Development
Actively participates in the Business Support community. May mentor other Business Support colleagues to help increase their understanding and ability to navigate through the organization.
May support onboarding and training of new Business Support staff as applicable.
Document and share best practices and insights.
Contributes to team experience activities.
Collaborates with Global Talent Acquisition (GTA) to support internal and external recruitment efforts, and partners with hiring managers to ensure a smooth process, under guidance of senior colleagues as needed.
Participates in onboarding and assists new employees, vendors, and interns as an essential contact for questions.
Coordinates logistics and provides onboarding support for new employees, vendors, and interns, under the direction of senior team members (e.g., ordering new-hire equipment, setting up workstations, distribution lists, security groups).
Maintains and manages headcount activities, including staff movement/transfers, reporting, offboarding, and transactions within relevant headcount management tools.
Event Coordination and logistics
Supports planning, coordination, promotion, and support for events. Assists with determining event needs and outcomes.
May assist with and/or own creating event itinerary. Acts as a point of contact for events (e.g., changes).
Contributes to post event close out (e.g., tracking event results/attendance, distributing post-meeting materials) under guidance of others. Contributes to team morale and building team dynamics.
Project ownership:
Executes various projects and tasks and completes project deliverables with little or no supervision.
Owns their components of project outcomes end to end with proper accountability.
Identifies risks and challenges within core area of responsibility and communicates these to relevant stakeholders.
Streamlines processes, provides process improvement suggestions, and adjusts as needed.
Budget and Purchase Order (PO) management: PO Management includes opening, closing and general team health of PO. Actively track team budgets and send reports to leadership teams.
Rhythm of Business (ROB): Helps to execute on business cadence (scheduling/meeting logistics) around the ROB of team and identify patterns.
Travel management: A successful candidate will be able to execute travel for a leader, including agenda, meetings, car pick up/drop off, hotel and airfare.
Space planning: Should be expert in team space, understand not only M365 Core Space processes and policies but also understand Microsofts.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
- 2+ years Administrative, Business Support, and/or customer service experience.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years Administrative, Business Support, or customer service experience in an environment with an emphasis on scheduling meetings/events, travel management, and basic administration work.
Associate's/Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Human Resources [HR], Marketing, Communications, Psychology, Sociology)
OR equivalent experience.
1+ year(s) experience reviewing and managing administrative budgets (e.g., for events, morale, travel, training).
Business Support ATR-C - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $22.79 - $39.66 per hour. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $33.03 - $45.91 per hour.
