Azure E+ P is looking to hire an Azure Edge and Platform Software Engineer II to be on point for designing and implementing the next-generation Edge + Platform products and services for customers across the globe. This person will need to be technically sound, with in-depth knowledge and experience in analyzing data and requirements, designing, developing and releasing services or products to end users.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for designing and implementing high-performance components or services for Azure Edge and Devices. As part of this team, you will lead the transformation of initial concepts into concrete designs and oversee their implementation to realize the vision.

In close collaboration with Azure partners and customers, you will assess requirements, establish good practices, influence our designs, and address production issues. Your responsibilities will also encompass the design, implementation, and management of complex big data and high-availability distributed services.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

  • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • Experience in developing and designing Operating Systems components like filesystems, Storage and kernel

  • Experience in implementing large scale, low latency and high-quality distributed systems.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, AWS or similar cloud computing platforms.

  • Experience creating, developing, delivering, deploying, maintaining online services.

  • Knowledge in Agile engineering practices (Continuous Integration, TDD)

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
