Industry Solutions & Delivery organization helps Microsoft customers around the world get the best outcomes from their investments in the latest Microsoft cloud technologies. We empower our customers on their digital journey by envisioning new possibilities and delivering solutions that create impactful business outcomes and a great customer experience. Americas Modern Work Consulting Practice leads complex Modern Work consulting services sales and delivery engagements for Microsoft Industry Solutions & Delivery enterprise customers across the US, Canada and Latam.

Americas Modern Work Consulting Practice is looking for a Business Program and Operations Director to provide operational leadership, insight and management of Americas Modern Work business initiatives, programs, processes and operations. This position will report directly to the Consulting Leader for Americas Modern Work.


Business Process & Planning:

  • Identify, plan, and lead cross Industry Solution organization ROBs and capacity planning workstreams to enable better collaboration and proactive organization planning inside and outside Americas Modern Work

  • Identify and drive new and improved business processes, ROBs and metric management strategies to enable more planful execution management of critical business success measures for the Americas Modern Work Business

  • Partner with CPL on overall business strategy planning, messaging, and landing of Americas Modern Work Consulting Delivery strategy and execution priorities

Business Program Management & Operations:

  • Drive strategic initiatives and provide thought leadership.

  • Identify issues that impede business group success and provide solutions/recommendations.

  • Identify opportunities to create cross-group collaboration and synergies.

  • Partner with HR to orchestrate team design conversations and facilitate successful implementation of organizational plans.

  • Demonstrate discretion and professionalism when working with leadership team on sensitive business and organizational issues, manage ambiguity, and propose workable solutions to challenging problems.

Team Development & Culture:

  • Help make the team a great place to work - for all.

  • In partnership with HR and the LT, shape and drive the people agenda and lead team health initiatives.

  • Orchestrate team trainings and brownbag series to contribute to ongoing development.

  • Define, plan, and drive cross-team process improvements (e.g. team recognition).

Special Projects:

  • Drive high-impact cross-team projects, as needed, to address the changing business environment and ensure the team is achieving commitments.

  • Successful project management, including work with global teams and external stakeholders on strategic priorities and efforts that require hands-on experience across multiple functional disciplines and business organizations.


Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of proven Business Program management experience

  • 3+ years consulting services experience (preferably Microsoft Consulting Services)

  • Do you have experience in translating business strategy, ideas into clear, high impact organizational priorities and communications (e.g. presentations, emails, papers)

  • Do you have experience leading and executing strategic initiatives and projects in a complex organizational environment while working on several diverse projects at the same time.

  • Do you have the ability to lead others in implementing change. This includes knowledge of corporate processes, organizational structures, and operations necessary to influence change?

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience using Microsoft Consulting Services system tools and processes

  • 3+ years Microsoft Consulting Services organization navigation and execution with delivery and field role experience
