Sodexo at Lake Washington School District is seeking an Point-of-Sale Operations Coordinator / Administrative Assistant 1 to perform administrative tasks and services that facilitate effective and efficient operations of point-of-sale (POS) systems throughout the school district.

This role will support parents of students, faculty, in-unit food supervisors, and cashiers both at our Redmond office and across Lake Washington School District locations in Redmond, Kirkland, and Sammamish. The successful candidate will ensure that the meal program is executed according to the National School Lunch Program guidelines using the Mosaic POS system. Daily responsibilities include operational support, training for in-unit supervisors and cashiers, updating manuals, maintaining records, and providing excellent internal customer service, all while driving process improvements and ensuring functional excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support POS operations, troubleshoot, and provide on-site cashier assistance at schools within Kirkland, Redmond, and Sammamish.

  • Conduct training sessions for food supervisors and cashiers on the Mosaic POS system.

  • Maintain up-to-date manuals and documentation for POS processes.

  • Provide top-tier internal customer service by addressing and resolving issues promptly.

  • Drive continuous improvement in POS processes and procedures.

  • Maintain accurate record keeping, especially related to cash handling and compliance with the National School Lunch Program.

Travel Requirements:

This position requires regular travel between various Lake Washington School District locations. Candidates must use a personal vehicle for daily travel to these sites. Mileage reimbursement will be provided in accordance with Sodexo’s reimbursement policy. The candidate is responsible for maintaining a driver's license and insurance coverage that meets state and company requirements. Compliance with all applicable traffic and vehicle safety laws is expected at all times.

Requirements:

  • Experience with SharePoint, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required.

  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to resolving issues.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

  • Mosaic POS experience is a plus.

  • Willingness to travel to school sites and provide cashier support as needed.

  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

  • Cash handling experience is helpful.

Schedule:

  • Approximately 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm, or similar.

  • This position does not follow the LWSD school district calendar and is overtime eligible.
