Willapa Bay Fisheries Enhancement Group Stream restoration crew labor in Raymond, Washington

Job Purpose: Support the restoration of stream riparian and in-stream habitat to benefit wildlife and fish. Duties: * Assist with site preparation for riparian (streamside plants) restoration project - primarily working to remove invasive plant species by mulching using a gas brush cutter.  This work is currently underway and exposure to our regional weather should be expected.  Project seeks to plant native trees and shrubs at site dominated by invasive reed canary grass and berry vines.  We primarily work 8am - 5pm, 8 hrs. M-F but do work on weekends depending upon good weather windows.    * Additional work may include: assistance with remote site rearing of salmon fry, collection of tissue samples and operation of a smolt trap.  This additional work would be very limited hours to fill in for other employees. Skills/Qualifications: Hard worker, able bodied and tolerant of regional weather, able to operate gas powered hand tools (chainsaw, brush cutters), need transportation to site location.
