Description Security Officer/Temporary Position The primary responsibility of a security officer is to perform support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks. You will maintain vigilance to prevent fires from starting and act swiftly in case of emergencies. This role requires attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols. Patrol facility to ensure the facility remains safe while systems are impacted. Document irregularities such as equipment or property damage, data, or unusual occurrences and report to facility management. Salary Depending on experience, $20 hourly Position is full time Monitoring: Patrol assigned areas to detect and prevent fire hazards. Reporting: Immediately report unsafe conditions, fires, or emergencies to appropriate personnel. Equipment: Maintain fire watch equipment in good condition and use it as instructed. Safety: Enforce safety regulations and ensure compliance with fire prevention policies. Communication: Effectively communicate with coworkers and supervisors regarding fire risks and safety concerns. Education High school diploma or equivalent, additional education or security training preferred. Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Basic understanding of fire safety procedures and protocols. Ability to remain alert and vigilant during assigned shifts Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
