The Emily Program, P.C. Dietetic Technician in Queen Anne, Washington
Description This Dietetic Technician role will provide coverage and float between Washington State sites. Washington has both Residential and Outpatient sites and includes Residential, PHP, IOP, and OP services. The position will be based in Seattle and will provide coverage to sites both in person and remotely. Position Summary: The Program Dietetic Technician works closely with clients, their families, and staff (registered dietitians, therapists, culinary services, and frontline team members). Acts as liaison for the registered dietitian and culinary services to support the execution of registered dietitian prescribed diet orders/meal plans. Provides basic nutrition education and support to/for the culinary services, and assists the registered dietitian as needed. Duties and Responsibilities: Provides active meal coaching and support for clients in Therapeutic Supported Meals as assigned. Plans, prepares, facilitates and completes documentation of assigned nutrition groups in alignment with the Clinical Operating Manual. Assists the dietitian in completing a variety of clinical tasks such as daily weight tracking, group preparation, and meal planning. Collaborates with registered dietitian and culinary services regarding meal and programming schedule. Coordinates the day-to-day ordering of Accanto catered meals as well as external meal purchases. Collaborates with registered dietitian(s) and culinary services to ensure all diet orders/dietary restrictions/dietary accommodations are adhered to. Completes food inventory and order for the site and or patient pantry as assigned. Receives and stores food/meal orders keeping serving and storage areas clean following food safety protocol based on site set up. Supports plating and serves meals (based on site set up) following health and safety protocols and guidelines. Maintains kitchen and dining room cleanliness and organization (based on site set up). Follows all regulatory and organizational policies and procedures. Maintains at all times the confidentiality of former and current Emily Program and Veritas clients\' protected health information, as directed by state and federal law, and Emily Program and Veritas policy. Maintains at all times the confidentiality of proprietary information, which includes but is not limited to, trade secrets, sensitive company information, and generally any company information not made available to the public. Attends assigned meetings. Completes all assigned mandatory trainings. Participates in administrative and clinical supervision. Seeks supervision when needed. Drive clients, staff, and supplies in the company vehicle as needed. May provide coverage to other programs as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Associate degree in Dietetic Technology or a bachelor\'s degree in Dietetics is required (completion of Dietetic Internship and/or Dietetic Technician Registration are not required). Must have a valid driver\'s license and be authorized to drive One year of clinical or public health experience preferred. Previous eating disorder experience is preferred. Current Basic Life Support certification required (American Heart Association) within 30 days from date of hire.
