Center for Diagnostic Imaging X-ray/Fluoro Technologist in Puyallup, Washington

RAYUS Radiology, formerly Center for Diagnostic Imaging, is looking for a X-Ray/Fluoro Technologist to join our team in Puyallup. Under the direction of the Chief Technologist, assures that services are provided to patients and referring specialists within professional standards. Maintains positive work relationships with radiologists and other physicians referring to the company. This is a PRN position.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Creates a positive experience for every customer, every day by believing in and practicing The Experience(85%) Patient ImagingPerforms routine and advanced DTI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeatsScreens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examinationExplains and prepares patients for DTI procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned and providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedureAdjusts equipment as necessaryMaintains positive attitude and working relationships with radiologist, referring customers and other associates and peersConverses with doctors, nurses, patients and family members as requiredFollows physicians' orders precisely and conforms to safety regulations to protect themselves, their patients, and coworkersAccurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)Maintains an orderly and clean work area to promote good safety habits for patients and co-workersMaintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use(10%) Imaging SupportAssists in maintaining an updated radiographic protocol manual and software upgradesMonitors medical supply inventoryAssists with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise(5%) Performs other duties as assigned208 - Puyallup, WATemporary/PRNRequired:ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standingGraduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiographyLicensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicableCurrent Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificationMust have training and experience sufficient to competently perform radiographic procedures independentlyPreferred:BilingualAt Center for Diagnostic Imaging (CDI), we specialize in answers.
