Additional Qualifications: Fellowship trained in breast surgery or surgical oncology The Medical Lead will provide support for all of our Cancer Institute sites. FTE: 0.5a 0.5c Compensation: $318,750.00 (administrative) + $224,449.50 (clinical) Position Summary The MultiCare Cancer Institute (MCI) Leader, Breast Oncology and Breast Program will coordinate the delivery of inpatient and outpatient specialty care to all breast patients within MultiCare Health. Reporting to the President and CMO of MCI, the overall function of the MCI Leader, Breast Oncology and Breast Program is to build an integrated breast program across the system. assist the sub-specialty Medical Directors of Surgical, Medical, Radiation and Supportive Oncology to coordinate the mission of MCI with all oncology and oncology-adjacent Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), medical and clinical staff. Essential Functions Strategically lead the development of multidisciplinary programs and services to serve the needs of breast patients. Oversee the conduct and coordination of breast care within the health system. Spearhead the recruitment of breast clinicians and supporting staff for MCI. Ensure ongoing quality and operational performance improvement across the breast cancer center/program by partnering with quality, operational and business colleagues to measure, monitor and lead initiatives towards best practice performance. Participate in regular review and evaluation of all quality and appropriateness of patient care rendered by members of the MultiCare Cancer Institute. Such review to be carried out through specifically- designated medical staff mechanisms. Participate in budget planning and assist in the preparation of all reports for the Breast Cancer Center/Program. Identify and define the scope of breast oncology practice at all MultiCare Cancer Institute locations in a manner consistent with and supportive of, the Institute's mission and strategic goals, and advocate the Institute's interest related to breast services within the Health System and affiliates. Drive initiatives for breast practices and value-based methods at the Institute to lower cost and increase quality of breast care without compromising the medical necessities of treatment. Work with the President and CMO of MCI to develop and lead integration of short- and long-term strategies for the breast program.
