To construct and repair composite parts using standardized procedures, work instructions, and controlled documents.

  • Read and interpret written work processes, manufacturing aides, models, and blueprints

  • Proficiency in the use of power and hand tools for defined processes.

  • Meet productivity time and quality standards in area of responsibility

  • Understand and apply all aspects of 5S

  • Report non-conforming products and processes

  • Maintain compliance with all Health, Safety and Environmental regulations

  • Maintain compliance with ISO/AS9100 requirements

  • Use company systems such as time clocks, QAD, QCBD (site quality database) and SiteHawk (SDS database)

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 1- 2 years’ experience in layup preferred but not required

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for prolonged periods of time. Ability to manually operate and manipulate hand tools. Ability to regularly lift and move materials and equipment in excess of 25 pounds. Visual acuity to read work processes and blue prints and to perform precision assembly work and visually inspect and verify accuracy of work.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The noise level in the work environment can vary from moderate to occasionally loud, requiring protective hearing equipment. Some exposure to workplace dust and debris. Occasional exposure to chemicals which may require wearing a respirator or other protective gear.
