Aston Carter Document Control Specialist in Puyallup, Washington

Certified Precision Machining Aerospace manufacturing and machining company in Puyallup, WA is currently hiring for a Document Control Specialist.

Pay: $20/hr. - $25/hr. (Depending on relevant qualification and industry)

Schedule: 4'10s - Monday - Thursday (6:30 AM - 4:30 PM)

Location: Fully Onsite in Puyallup, WA

(Responsibilities)

  1. Assist in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation for aerospace products, including aircraft systems, components, and procedures.

  2. Work closely with sr. documentation specialists, engineers, and subject matter experts to gather technical information and contribute to documentation projects.

  3. Update and revise technical manuals, maintenance procedures, and compliance documents under the guidance of experienced team members.

  4. Support the organization and maintenance of a centralized repository for aerospace documentation, ensuring version control and accessibility.

  5. Review and proofread documentation for accuracy, clarity, and compliance with aerospace specifications and standards.

  6. Participate in documentation reviews and assist in addressing feedback and revisions.

  7. Learn and adhere to aerospace regulations and standards relevant to documentation processes.

  8. Assist in documentation-related tasks for certification processes and audits.

(Duties)

• Responsible for daily scanning and filing of all company records inbound and outbound.

• Certifications, Job Travelers, Pack slips, Purchase Orders, EDR, Planning Changes.

• Responsible for inspecting scanned images for accuracy, completeness, clarity, and/or defects.

• Certifications, Job Travelers, Pack slips, Purchase Orders, EDR, Planning Changes…. Scanned copies must be verified for legibility prior to recycling the

original.

• Maintains the storage system by archiving files when necessary and keeping the cabinet organized and orderly.

• Assist with moving raw material/outside process certifications into appropriate directories for compliance in record retention.

• Uses and maintains department copiers, printers, and scanners.

• Ink cartridge refills, paper refills, troubleshoots various errors.

(Job Requirements)

• Must have 1-2+ years of relevant document control experience (relevant job title or clear indication on resume)

• Microsoft Office Suite and Information governance

• Adobe Acrobat & Adobe Pro

• Basic understanding of aerospace systems, components, and terminology.

• Familiarity with document management tools and software, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, or similar.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow guidelines and processes.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Eagerness to learn and grow in a dynamic aerospace environment.

Compensation is tied to the Colorado and Washington markets for jobs performed in Colorado and Washington. Other locations may be subject to variances based on location-related factors.
