Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. Technical Marketing Program Manager - Events & Customer Education in Pullman, Washington

SEL products and technologies play critical roles in industries around the world. Tradeshows, conferences, seminars, and other industry events provide valuable opportunities for SEL to interface directly with customers, learn more about the challenges they face, and teach them about our latest solutions. This position will provide dedicated technical marketing support for events that SEL hosts or attends and for customer training and other educational resources that SEL delivers. As a Technical Marketing Program Manager, you will synthesize industry research, product roadmaps, and customer perspectives to develop strategic marketing plans and engaging content. You will collaborate closely with our product and service marketing teams to inform the technical focus, key messaging, and content of major events and trainings. Then, partnering with our creative and marketing operations teams, you will guide the development of related promotional and educational collateral. As a Technical Marketing Program Manager, a typical day might include the following: * Meeting with stakeholders and leaders across divisions to discuss opportunities for events and trainings, customer education needs, and strategic marketing plans * Learning about industry events, SEL technologies, and major competitors through independent research and close collaboration with subject matter experts and marketing research analysts * Collaborating with creative and marketing operations teams to foster a stronger understanding of industry events and customer education opportunities, * Developing program plans, project proposals, and marketing briefs that distill strategic objectives, business intelligence, and key audience information into actionable guidance for related marketing activities and collateral * Presenting marketing plans and results for the designated program area to various stakeholders, including executive leadership This job might be for you if: * You enjoy delving into research, learning technical topics, and solving complex problems * You're skilled at building rapport with diverse stakeholders, representing their perspectives and needs, and facilitating decisions between groups with competing priorities * You excel at teaching, presenting to small and large groups, and painting a compelling vision that energizes teams and drives their work * You'd enjoy traveling to conferences, tradeshows, and other industry events to interface directly with engineers and leaders in the industry * You are highly motivated, well organized, strategically minded, and detail-oriented Location Pullman, WA the preferred location, but other office locations may be considered.
