The Opportunity:
As the Student Engagement Program Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to support student retention through the daily administration of the Carson Career Amplifier Program (CCAP), a co-curricular career development program required for all undergraduate business students. Your duties will include:
Technical and problem solving tasks: You will generate reports from several different student records systems, enter activity details into the Suitable tracking system, generate QR codes, troubleshoot and resolve issues for students and campus partners, grade students' written submissions, and educate students about Amplifier Program requirements, submission process, and deadlines.
Collaborate/Communication tasks: You will serve as a liaison with academic departments and partners on all campuses, research and compile event information from partners and assign events to appropriate CCAP levels/badges, ensure events are accurately displayed in the Suitable platform, provide event hosts with instructions for students to satisfy Amplifier badge, and assist Carson Center teams with the coordination of Amplifier events and activities.
Required Qualifications:
• High school graduation or equivalent AND two (2) years of experience in the program specialty OR equivalent education/experience.
• Experience coordinating on-going programs, events, and/or services.
• Experience creating reports and managing/maintaining accurate records in a database.
• Self-motivated, ability to handle multiple tasks, and work effectively under stress and regular interruptions.
• Experienced at being resourceful and researching options to resolve problems.
• Strong customer service experience.
• Proven ability to function effectively as a team member.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and strong experience with Excel.
• Ability to quickly learn and use new databases and student records management systems.
• Strong attention to detail, follow through, and consistency in meeting deadlines.?
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field.
• Past internship experience.
• Demonstrated ability to organize, coordinate, and lead programs/processes.
• Strong technical and independent problem-solving experience.
• Experience working in higher education.
• Knowledge of or experience using Washington State University's student records system, scholarship databases, and knowledge of WSU's operations, policies, and procedures.
