Professional Position Details: Summary of Duties: The College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) is seeking to hire a Senior Director and College Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join a highly functional team that includes an Associate Director for Finance, a Director for Information Technology and an Assistant Director of Facilities and Support Operations. As the CFO you will be a member of the College Leadership Team and report directly to the Dean. You will be responsible for the overall management of the financial, administrative and, in collaboration with our senior human resources partner, personnel support functions for the CVM. You will serve as the principal consultant and advisor to the Dean, as well as a college liaison to central administration on all financial issues. The CVM is dedicated to improving the lives of animals and people at home and around the world through enhancing health and wellbeing. As the only veterinary school in the state of Washington, CVM is a complex organization of five major Departments/Schools, a veterinary teaching hospital, and an animal disease diagnostic lab, all of whom have their own financial staff that liaise with our college finance team. We have a large capital space and physical profile on multiple campuses and across multiple continents, with 1,000+ employees and approximately $118 million in annual expenditures. In addition to training excellent veterinarians, the college is unique among veterinary schools with strong undergraduate teaching programs and host cutting edge biomedical research programs. Required Qualifications: • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or closely related field with an accounting emphasis and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in accounting and business management which has included supervisory and facilities management experience. A Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or closely related field and/or CPA certification may be substituted for one (1) year of the required work experience.
