Summary of Duties:

 

Perform skilled journey-level work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration, air-conditioning, and chilled water equipment, systems, and controls.

Required Qualifications:

 

• Journeyman standing as a Refrigeration Mechanic as attested by: Completion of recognized apprenticeship OR full journeyman status in Plumbers AND Pipefitters' Union OR five years of experience in State service as full time helper to a journeyman Refrigeration Mechanic.

 

• Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver's license.

 

• Refrigeration Trade School Diploma.

 

• EPA Refrigerant Certification.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

• Four years journey-level experience in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.

 

• Experience using all types of power tools & equipment utilized in troubleshooting & maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and environmental systems.
