Professional Position Details: Summary of Duties: As part of the College of Veterinary Medicine Advising team, the Recruitment and Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for developing innovative, proactive recruitment and marketing initiatives that motivate potential students to pursue undergraduate degrees offered by the College of Veterinary Medicine, including our newest degree in Public Health. The individual hired to fill this position will be responsible for coordinating the recruitment activities of the College of Veterinary Medicine. Duties of this position include but are not limited to: planning for and coordinating on-campus recruiting events, assisting in the design and creation of recruiting materials, meeting with prospective students and their families on an individual basis, working with student ambassadors, collaborating with CVM Marketing & Communications to promote the Public Health degree. Depending on your level of experience, you may begin as a Student Services Coordinator/Advisor 1 or as a Student Services Coordinator/Advisor 2. Required Qualifications: Student Services Coordinator/Advisor 1 position requires: • Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis. Student Services Coordinator/Advisor 2 position requires: • Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience. Experience leading or directing the work of others. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis. Additional Qualifications for all ranks: • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and positively in a diverse environment. • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks effectively. • Attention to details, organized, and multi-tasking to meet deadlines. • Experience analyzing, evaluating, using professional judgment and/or applying a comprehensive depth of knowledge of student issues. • Demonstrated excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills. • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office including Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word. Preferred Qualifications: • Demonstrated experience developing strong, collaborative relationships with colleagues, faculty, students, and external constituencies. • Demonstrated experience coordinating student activities and events. • Demonstrated experience in coordinating and conducting recruitment activities. • Evidence of successful experience with programmatic organizational skills including planning, implementation, and evaluation. • Evidence of ability to work collaboratively and effectively with colleagues and constituents. • Excellent communication and presentation skills - both oral and written.
