Position Details:

 

The Opportunity:

 

As the Project Manager for the Social & Economic Sciences Research Center (SESRC), you will be responsible for managing all aspects of multiple survey research projects. Your duties will include client interaction, project planning and specifications, developing and designing study instruments, sample management, data collection implementation, and experience with research approaches that combine qualitative and quantitative methods. You will ensure project success by effectively communicating with staff about project requirements, monitoring project progress, and managing deadlines. Other duties include data management, data analysis, quality assurance, report writing, and preparing presentations of research results for publication. You will also work collaboratively and independently to develop grant and service center funding proposals as opportunities arise.

 

Required Qualifications:

 

• A Bachelor's degree in social or behavioral science, business or economics discipline and three (3) years of progressively responsible related professional research experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.

 

• Quantitative and qualitative research experience.

 

• Knowledge and experience with online survey programming platforms, such as Qualtrics.

 

• Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

 

• Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

 

• Demonstrated computer software skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Office programs, such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access.

 

• Demonstrated data analysis, programming, and data visualization skills.

 

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with conflicting deadlines.

 

• Demonstrated excellent customer service.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

• Doctorate Degree.

 

• Experience with statistical packages, such as SPSS, SAS, or R.

 

• Experience with qualitative analysis packages, such as MAXQDA or NVIVO.

 

• Experience with data visualization platforms, such as Tableau or Power BI.

 

• Experience with development and/or management of complex studies, large samples, or sample distribution.

 

• Experience with survey sampling for different study designs.

 

• Experience in writing interpretive reports.

 

• Experience in conducting focus groups, interviews or other qualitative techniques.

 

• Experience with grant and proposal writing.

 

• Demonstrated ability to supervise others.
