The Opportunity:
As the Program Specialist, you assist with administrative, help desk, and fiscal support for the Washington State Data Exchange for Public Safety (WADEPS) project. The primary function of your role is to provide a wide range of administrative and operational support in a fast-paced and high-volume environment. The duties include, but are not limited to help desk and project coordination, aiding in personnel and payroll processes, staff/faculty recruitment, office activities and events, purchasing, accounts payable, travel, and financial activities for WADEPS, as well as providing similar support for reporting units as needed. When necessary, represent the Executive Director at meetings involving internal and external institutional partners and maintain the Executive Director calendar. You serve as the primary organizational point of contact for the Executive Director and WADEPS staff to support organizational partnering, manage correspondence, and refer inquiries to the appropriate offices using independent judgment, discretion, and follow-ups.
Required Qualifications:
• A Bachelor's degree OR equivalent education/experience.
• Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft office programs.
• Experience interfacing and/or coordinating with other teams/offices/departments of an institution or corporation.
• Experience which demonstrates strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment in the resolution of routine issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience organizing travel for faculty, staff, and students.
• Well organized with the ability to handle large volumes of transactions and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Workday or other enterprise resource system.
• Experience in higher education or similar complex organization.

Monthly Salary: $3,643 to $4,865 | Range 42 Step A-M | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with https://app.leg.wa.gov/wac/default.aspx?cite=357-28
