Summary of Duties

Under general supervision, the Program Assistant performs work requiring knowledge and experience specific to the University Writing Program. Provides students, staff, faculty, program participants, and the public with information and interpretation of policies and activities related to the Writing Program. Composes written communications, and establish and maintain records using word processing, spreadsheet, and data base software relating to all program operations.

Position Qualifications

Required Qualifications

High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of full-time clerical experience OR equivalent education/experience.

Additional Requirements

Demonstrated effective oral and written communications skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (esp., Word, Excel, Outlook), database software, Filemaker Pro and PeopleSoft applications.

Customer service experience.
