Postion Information

Summary of Duties

Coordinate the daily patient flow in patient care areas and provide support services such as triaging patient telephone calls to medical staff, scheduling appointments, registering patients, maintaining patient records, and assembling patient charts. Ensure record and bill completion, initiate and process patient charge documents, receive and discharge clients, provide estimates, receive deposits, enter charges, update estimates and charges, update deposits, track completion of discharge instructions and case summaries, and back up Patient Services Representatives. Work as a team with a second Patient Services Coordinator to perform duties and responsibilities in support of all large animal services including Equine Medicine, Equine Surgery, Agricultural Animal Medicine and Surgery, and Comparative Theriogenology.

Required Qualifications

High school graduation or equivalent AND three years of general office experience or two years of office or customer service experience in a healthcare setting; OR equivalent education/experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in veterinary setting.
