Position Details:

 

Summary of Duties:

 

Under general supervision, independently perform a variety of troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, construction, testing, and installation activities on media equipment and systems including scoreboards, speaker systems, microphones, amplifiers, video cameras, monitors, lighting systems, and other A/V equipment on behalf of Intercollegiate Athletics.

 

Required Qualifications:

 

• One year of experience as a Media Maintenance Technician 1; OR three years of experience as media maintenance technician; OR equivalent education/experience.

 

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field.

 

• Ability to obtain valid driver's license at time of hire.

 

• Ability to work evenings and on weekends on a regular basis.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

• One (1) year of experience in Athletic Event and Facilities Operations or other closely related area of Athletics.

 

• Experience working with students, coaches, and administrators in a broad range of situations.

 

• Experience working with broad event operations.

 

• Experience with facility maintenance.

 

• Demonstrated interpersonal relations skills.

 

• Experience within intercollegiate athletics.

 

• Experience that demonstrated the ability to function professionally under high stress, confrontational circumstances.

 

• Experience that demonstrates the ability to provide clear information on an impromptu basis to individuals or groups of people.

 

• Experience that demonstrates the ability to promote diversity.

 

• Experience that demonstrates the ability to analyze problems and situations, consider viable alternatives, engage in creative thinking and resolve problems both in the long term and on short notice.

 

• Knowledge and understanding of applicable rules and regulations, including State of Washington, Washington State University, Athletic Department, NCAA, and Pac-12 Conference rules and regulations.

Monthly Salary:
