As a Mechanical Engineering Intern in Research and Development you'll provide solutions and services that help our customers protect and control critical electrical infrastructure and power systems worldwide.

As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, a typical day might include the following:

• Provide support to mechanical engineering staff as needed.
• Functional/qualification test plans, testing, and test reports.
• Tolerance, return on investment (ROI), thermal, and structural analysis.
• Design of plastic, machined, sheet metal, and die cast parts.
• Update SolidWorks models and drawings.
• Data entry of technical information into company databases (MS Access, Lotus Notes, SolidWorks).
• Follow mechanical development and quality assurance procedures.

This job might be for you if:

• You are currently in pursuit of BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering with one to two years engineering education completed.
• You have the ability to conduct defined testing procedures.
• You have strong problem-solving skills.
• You have working knowledge of MS Office Applications or equivalent.
• You have one year SolidWorks Experience (or equivalent CAD software).
• You have experience filing engineering documentation.
• You have finite element analysis experience a plus.

Pay Range Data

($17.00 - $26.50 per hour)* Our intern pay is determined based on the internship role (the work you would be doing) and your year in school (when you plan to graduate). Talk to your recruiter if you are curious about the rate for your year in school.
