Position Details:

 

Summary of Duties:

 

The incumbent is to inspect, operate, test, troubleshoot, and maintain physical facilities requiring skilled mechanical and trades work. This position requires a good working knowledge of several related skill fields such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and machinist work.

 

Required Qualifications:

 

• High school graduation and four years of general work experience in building and equipment maintenance, construction or repair work or completion of a recognized apprenticeship in a skilled mechanic trade; OR equivalent education/experience.

 

• Completion of a four (4) year approved institution course in plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, or HVAC Repair; OR four (4) years' of applicable experience in installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems in a large building.

 

• Possession of, or ability to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver's license.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

• Experience in one of four (4) trades: refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, or controls.

 

• Possession of a refrigerant license.

 

• Possession of an electrical license.

 

• Knowledge of HVAC systems.
