Available Title(s): 151F-YNCSNPS - Fiscal Specialist 2 Business Title: Fiscal Specialist 2 Employee Type: Classified Position Details: Summary of Duties: As the Fiscal Specialist 2, you will provide support, guidance, and analysis of complex fiscal operations to the College of Education's faculty, staff, and students. Your primary responsibilities will include in general, with a focus on the departmental units to provide fiscal support in areas such as purchasing, travel, payroll, and personnel. You will also be expected to oversee and recommend improvements for fiscal records, and provide exceptional customer support as it relates to the reimbursement and payment service functions to both the university community and external partners, reconcile the purchasing cards, serve as the point of contact for inquiries related to program budget allocations, expenditures, reconciliations, compliance with departmental, institutional, state and/or grant agency policies, rules, and regulations and as well as coordinate and maintain the departmental Central Travel Account (CTA). Required Qualifications: • Two years of experience at a level equivalent to Fiscal Specialist 1 AND 15 quarter hours OR 10 semester hours of college level accounting; OR equivalent education/experience. • Experience in fiscal operations involving bookkeeping, accounts payable, purchasing or other fiscal record-keeping functions. Preferred Qualifications: • Strong communication skills both orally and in writing. • Demonstrate good organizational skills and ability to prioritize projects. • Proficiency in an integrated business management system, such as Workday, Oracle or similar system. • Experience in learning and adapting to new administrative processes. • Experience working in a higher education environment.
