Position Details:

 

Summary of Duties:

 

This position will be responsible for daily operations of the Student Recreation Center and associated hourly staff including facility supervisors and attendants. The basic function of this position is to recruit, hire, train, evaluate, dismiss, and develop student services and operations staff for the Student Recreation Center and Chinook Student Center as well as facilitate use of SRC and UREC spaces by Student Groups, WSU departments, and off campus entities in a manner that meets WSU risk management and customer service standards.

 

Required Qualifications:

 

• A Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to area of specialization and three (3) years of experience directly related to the specialty area. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

 

• Experience in facility management with an emphasis on customer service.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

• Master's Degree in related field.

 

• Minimum one years of managerial experience.

 

• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership/management skills.

 

• Four or more years of progressively responsible relevant professional experience.

 

• Experience in higher education recreation, student union or student service setting.

 

• Knowledge of scheduling best practices.

 

• Experience administering risk management practices for recreation programs or student union.

 

• Experience in working with cash register or point of sale systems.

 

• Experience in the development and implementation of extensive staff training programs.

 

• Experience in the management and operations of special events.

 

• Experience in the development and management of budgets.

 

• NIRSA or ACUI membership and/or involvement.

Monthly Salary:

 

$4,061.90 to $4,617.81

 

In accordance with https://app.leg.wa.gov/RCW/default.aspx?cite=49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position. .
