Position Details:

 

The Opportunity:

 

As the Carson College of Business (CCB) Facilities and Space Management Specialist, you will work under the direction of the CCB Director of Technology and Facilities to carry out key components of the CCB strategic plan as part of the college's operations, including Capital Project planning, management, and financial oversight; space; safety; facilities; infrastructure; and liaison with the CCB Operational and Administrative units. These activities cross several key areas of operations within CCB including project management and facilitation, policy development, resource allocation, strategic planning, and professional/technical support. You will assist and represent the Director with communications, including developing presentations, compiling reports, producing information resources, and developing, drafting, and finalizing communication to internal and external constituents.

 

Required Qualifications:

 

• A Bachelor's degree OR equivalent education/experience

 

• Experience with project management.

 

• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

 

• Demonstrated experience working in coordination across multiple teams, units, functions, etc.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

• Proficient with image design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat, and 3D modeling software such as SketchUp.

 

• Experience conducting, analyzing, and managing space inventory.

 

• Experience with capital projects and planning.

 

• Experience with creating and implementing space plans.

 

• Prior involvement in safety planning and initiatives.

 

• Public speaking experience, such as presentations, training, etc.

 

• Experience in Higher Education.

 

• Demonstrated technical skills including programs such as WordPress and standard office software packages.

 

• Demonstrated collegiality and strong interpersonal communication skills.
