Summary of Duties:

 

This position assists in the development, implementation, and execution of a comprehensive strategic event and facility management plan for all home athletic events in accordance with NCAA, Pac-12, WSU and State of Washington bylaws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures as approved by the Assistant Director of Athletics, Event & Facility Operations. This position oversees game day events and facility operations management for assigned sports/events requiring regular evening and weekend work.

 

Required Qualifications:

 

High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of full-time clerical experience OR equivalent education/experience.

 

Additional Qualifications:

 

• Bachelor's degree in Sports Management or other relevant field.

• One (1) year of experience must be in Athletic Event and Facilities Operations or other closely related area of Athletics.

• Must have, or be able to obtain, a valid driver's license by time of hire.

• Must be able and willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

• Experience working with students, coaches, and administrators in a broad range of situations.

• Experience working with broad event operations.

• Experience with facility maintenance.

• Demonstrated interpersonal relations skills.

• Experience within intercollegiate athletics.

• Experience that demonstrated the ability to function professionally under high stress, confrontational circumstances.

• Experience that demonstrates the ability to provide clear information on an impromptu basis to individuals or groups of people.

• Experience that demonstrates the ability to promote diversity.

• Experience that demonstrates the ability to analyze problems and situations, consider viable alternatives, engage in creative thinking and resolve problems both in the long term and on short notice.

• Knowledge and understanding of applicable rules and regulations, including State of Washington, Washington State University, Athletic Department, NCAA, and Pac-12 Conference rules and regulations.

Monthly Salary: $3,239 to $4,299 | Range 37 [A-M] | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28. Step M is a longevity step.
