Professional Time Type: Full time Position Term: 12 Month Position Details: The Opportunity: As the Director, you will manage the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) advising and student services. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to supervising advisors in the CAS Advising Center and managing advising-related activities for the college advising system; serving as CAS representative to WSU units or committees related to advising; representing the college to external constituents; participating in strategic planning, budget development, program assessment, and managing staff. Required Qualifications: Positions require a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and six (6) years of progressively responsible relevant experience, which has included at least three (3) years of managerial experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis. A Master's degree in a related field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required experience. Education and experience can be tailored to fit the specific organizational entity/directorial assignment. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in an academic department at Washington State University. • Experience working in a higher education environment. • Experience in managing a program. • Experience developing and administering a budget. • Experience training and coaching others.
