Professional Time Type: Full time Position Term: 12 Month Position Details: Campus Director of Student Involvement, Student Affairs, Vancouver Campus If you enjoy being a visionary leader with strengths in developing an inclusive and engaging environment for diverse student populations on a non-residential campus, WSU Vancouver has a need for a Campus Director of Student Involvement. Summary of Duties Responsible for the vision and development of programming for the Office of Student Involvement at WSU Vancouver. This includes student government, committees, and organization advising, as well as supervision of staff who train and supervise students, coordinate recreation programing and facilities, and oversee registered student organizations. Create and maintain an inclusive environment to engage a diverse student population while facilitating student learning and development through participation in student organizations, recreation activities and leadership training. Advise student organizations including team building, goal setting, transition planning, budgeting, as well as adherence to WSU and State risk management, travel, ethics, Title IX, ADA, purchasing, and other requirements. Identify and improve and/or create and market new opportunities to engage a diverse student body. Oversee the implementation of student leadership training, including program planning, assessment and facilitation. Responsible for the liability and risk management associated with student programming and for the facilities use of the Firstenburg Student Commons and recreation facilities. Collaborate with the rest of the Student Affairs and Enrollment division and the campus community to provide programs that assist with enrollment initiatives and retention efforts. Required Qualifications Positions require a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in a field related to the functional managerial area which has included at least one (1) year of supervisory experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis. A master's degree in a relevant field may be substituted for up to one year of the required experience. Ability to work regular evening hours, some weekend hours, overnight and out-of-town trips. Must have or be able to obtain at time of hire, a valid driver's license. Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration or related field (within one year of completing).
