Associate In Speech Language Pathology (SLP) Available Title(s): 321-NNFACULTY - Associate in, 321-YNFACULTY - Associate in Business Title: Associate In Speech Language Pathology (SLP) Employee Type: Faculty (+) (Fixed Term) Time Type: Full time Position Term: 12 Month Position Details: Summary of Duties: The Associate In Speech Language Pathology (SLP) will be responsible for managing data collection associated with a 4-year NIH-funded project in the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences. This role will have an initial 1-year term, with the expectation for extension based on performance, funding availability, project status and mutual agreement. Duties will include: • Startup and management of a new federally funded grant. • Support the recruitment of school-based speech-language pathologists for data collection during the study. • Manage and oversight of all aspects of data collection (i.e., speech sound treatment data variables). • Scheduling and management of child-level data collection (i.e., standardized test administration). • Contact and coordination with school testing sites. • Training and fidelity checks of data collectors. • Contribute to the annual report writing process. • Management of participant incentives in alignment with project and university policy. • Oversee student research assistants. • Participate in manuscript and conference preparation and presentations. Required Qualifications: • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. • Active Speech Language Pathologist License in WA State. • Robust experience with the administration of speech, language, and literacy tests. • Valid diver license and ability to drive for work purposes. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with project management. • Experience working in or supporting research projects. • Experience working with federal grant funded projects. Additional Information: Area/College: Elson S. In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.
