Position Details:

 

Summary of Duties:

 

You will be responsible for providing academic advising and student life cycle administration for the Engineering and Technology Management (ETM) program, an online Graduate Masters and Certificate Program. Additionally, you will serve as primary contact for inquiries or issues regarding student recruitment, retention, graduation requirements, academic policy and procedures while maintaining all student program records. You will also review and analyze applications and evaluate transcripts to assess academic background, math preparation and applicable work experience. You will aid the Program Director in administering the graduate program, prepare reports and surveys.

 

Required Qualifications:

 

• Bachelor's degree and two (2) years' experience working with students in an educational setting or related experience. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

 

• Demonstrated excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.

 

• Experience with academic advising and related issues.

 

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and a diverse team environment.

 

• Demonstrated ability to extrapolate and tabulate data from online databases.

 

• Proficiency in educational technology and student information systems.

 

• Demonstrated ability to prioritize job tasks effectively.

 

• Excellent leadership and team management skills.

 

• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic environment.

 

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

 

• Commitment to student success and academic excellence.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

• Master's degree in education, administration, psychology, hospitality or related field.

 

• Knowledge of curriculum management practices, processes and policies.

 

• Experience working with and maintaining student records.

 

• Familiarity with Washington State University academic rules and regulations.

Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
