TREE TOP INC Warehouse Manager in Prosser, Washington

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for managing all warehouse functions; raw fruit & finished goods, which may include, but not limited to storing and shipping materials and goods utilizing a variety of transportation methodologies, receiving, inventory control, facilities/equipment maintenance, safety, quality of products produced and shipped, customer service, and outside storage facilities. Position establishes warehouse priorities, monitors costs, and complies with environmental and regulatory agency laws. Position may also be responsible for creating and managing the departmental budget.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

This position reports to the Plant Manager and will manage supervisory, administrative, and hourly employees with responsibility for storing and shipping finished goods, raw fruit, packaging and ingredients. The position works closely with all plant staff, supply chain/traffic/logistics, procurement, sales, planning, and customer service. In addition, position may have oversight for the management of multiple large warehouses.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR ENTRY:

KNOWLEDGE OF:

  • Principles and practices of food manufacturing, including food safety, quality, manufacturing concepts.
  • Working knowledge of FDA and OSHA regulations, GMPs, Sanitation, and HACCP.
  • Principles and practices of financial and manufacturing accounting.
  • Principles and practices of inventory planning.
  • Principles and practices of warehousing and distribution functions.
  • Principles and practices of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement concepts and related application technique.
  • Principles and practices of strategic planning and execution.
  • Pertinent Federal, State, and local laws, codes, and regulations.

ABILITY TO:

  • Gain cooperation through discussion and persuasion.
  • Identify, research, and analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, and project consequences of proposed actions.
  • Effectively organize, plan, and execute.
  • Use computers and computer software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Meet behaviors established in Tree Top's performance management and development process.

EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION/LICENSES, AND TRAINING:

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain, or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of supply chain, inventory control, warehouse, or related experience.
