Description

We are offering an opportunity for a REMOTE Accounts Payable Specialist/Staff Accountant to support a growing beverage company in Prosser, Washington. This role presents the chance to apply your skills in general ledger and accounts payable in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining and updating our software systems, with a focus on transitioning to NetSuite in the near future.

• Implementing and managing a Purchase Order system.

• Processing and tracking a significant volume of invoices each month, including manual entry and coding.

• Working with various entities and email boxes, ensuring the correct approvals are obtained.

• Assisting with month-end close activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.

• Creating and implementing standard operating procedures for the accounting department.

• Assisting with cost accounting tasks as needed.

• Utilizing Excel to manage data and perform calculations, though creation of new worksheets will not be a primary function.

• Working with both the Traverse and QuickBooks systems.

• Identifying and implementing process improvements in the interim period before the NetSuite update.

Requirements • Position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role

• Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP) processes and tasks

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) management

• Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations accurately

• Thorough understanding of General Ledger maintenance

• Competence in preparing Journal Entries

• Familiarity with Month End Close procedures

• Proficiency in using NetSuite for accounting tasks

• Experience with Oracle-based accounting systems

• Knowledge of QuickBooks for financial management

• Familiarity with SAP accounting software
