Southern Glazer’s offers a competitive compensation package with a salary of $42000 - $49000 / year plus incentives. In determining a final offer, the company will evaluate a specific candidate's education, skills and experience and will make an offer appropriately.
Overview
The Route Sales Representative is responsible for increasing sales by providing great customer service and selling in additional displays of SGWS products .
Primary Responsibilities
Safely drive vehicle rated under 26,000 lbs. GVW while maintaining a clean driving record
Safely drive and unload the truck, and move the product to the appropriate locations
Develop all assigned accounts relative to sales volume, market share, product distribution, space allocation, and customer service
Provide excellent service to assigned accounts; create and maintain goodwill with all customers
Identify opportunities consistent with the objectives, priorities, and strategies of assigned customers
Enter customer orders and make deliveries using a handheld device
Reconcile daily paperwork, which can include money and invoices; turn in records to ensure accurate financial tracking of delivery activities
Additional Primary Responsibilities
Complete or maintain route book and other related documentation to provide management with product and accounts sales data
Utilize point-of-purchase (POS) materials to stimulate sales
Adhere to all company and legal guidelines regarding collection policies and procedures to protect company interests
Merchandise product sections, maintain and increase shelf facings, clean shelving, and rotate produc
Perform other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Able to leverage SGWS technology to perform duties and responsibilities
Proficient in using mobile devices (e.g., iPad®, smartphone) and online communication techniques (email, posting, texting, etc.) in a professional manner
Able to take responsibility for own actions and results; commits to providing consistent high level of service to customers, suppliers, colleagues, and management
Able to be nimble in ambiguity; be open to change; embrace innovative ideas
21 years or older
Team player; works collaboratively with others
Able to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
Able to maintain a valid and current driver’s license
High School Diploma or GED required
Physical Demands
Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time may include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or mobile device
Physical demands with activity or condition may include walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping
Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time may include driving throughout the day with segments up to 2 hours
Ability to load and unload up to 56-pound boxes of product, push and pull it up concrete/metal ramps through the back offices and aisles in our customer’s stores
