BOGERT VENTURES INC Welder in PASCO, Washington

Job Purpose: Fabricates components by analyzing requirements and welding parts. A busy manufacturer has an opening for a Welder with MIG and TIG experience. The candidate must be dependable and available for the day shift, M-F, 8 am-5 pm +/---1 hour. The candidate must also have reliable transportation, as we are not near a bus stop.

Required:

  • Has a knowledge and understanding of MIG & preferably TIG applications.
  • Ability to set up MIG & TIG welders to optimal settings to ensure proper weld penetration.
  • Ability to weld for durability yet provide a neat cosmetic appearance.
  • Ability to use fixtures, gauges, and jigs.
  • Possess basic knowledge and understanding of weld symbols
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, & decimals.
  • Ability to solve more complex problems.
  • Basic safety knowledge in welding and fabrication environments.
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to build jigs.

Desirable:

  • Experience working with thin-walled steel tubing is desirable.
  • Experience working with stainless steel and aluminum is desirable.

Physical Demand:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, or sit (depending on the workstation), use hands, fingers, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, and talk and hear.
  • The employee must regularly lift 10-20 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.
  • Vision requirements are to be able to see 20/20 for close and distance (or corrected).

This job has no supervisory responsibilities; however, due diligence is an individual's responsibility for every task.  Example: The Welder 2 Fabricator must maintain quality work performance by inspecting the quality of the preceding unit as it passes from one workstation
