Columbia Basin College Program Assistant - Transitional Studies in Pasco, Washington

Columbia Basin College ("CBC" or the "College") seeks a Program Assistant to perform a variety of clerical tasks that supports the Transitional Studies program and students, which includes Adult Basic Education, High School Completion, High School Academy, Soar to Success and English Language Acquisition. This position reports to the Director of Transitional Studies.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the Transitional Studies front desk primary point of contact for students and the public, answer phones, and assist students with inquiries;
  • Schedule appointments for student intake, testing and orientations along with meetings and events and/or facilitate room reservations as needed for program activities;
  • Assist in composing correspondences and printed materials in English and/or Spanish for Transitional Studies information as needed and responsible for editing own work before final material is approved; 
  • Assist faculty with minimal clerical request, such as copying, typing, filing, supplies, etc.;
  • Proctor standardized tests to students using the Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment system ("CASAS") e-tests program;
  • Assist with registering Soar to Success students in CTCLINK; and
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

     

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Education or equivalent;
  • Two (2) years of administrative support, clerical experience or related field; and
  • Bilingual in English and in Spanish.
