Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for installation and maintenance of automated technology in Topeka and Pasco.

  2. Serves as a maintenance expert, providing guidance and technical support as needed.

  3. Leads and supports Maintenance Managers.

  4. Oversees plant maintenance programs for compliance of OSHA, EPA & DHEC, NEC, and FDA regulations.

  5. Establishes and maintains programs, policies and practices to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements.

  6. Supports the development, implementations, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the SQF Systems.

  7. Assists with the design, implementation, enhancement and validation of programs across all businesses and geographies.

  8. Drives the development of maintenance business plans and establishes and monitors key maintenance metrics.

  9. Assists with budget tracking and coding.

  10. Oversees and directs new equipment commissioning, installs and supports purchase decisions.

  11. Keeps abreast of new technologies and practices in maintenance by maintaining close relationships with outside vendors, regulatory contacts and technical publications and reports.

  12. Responsible for trails or evaluations that would be necessary to identify cost and operational benefits associated with the new technology or practice.

  13. Develops, implements, and oversees the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) program.

  14. Ensures that all labor, parts, and work are reported through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

  15. Oversees skills training and development of multiple plant maintenance programs ensuring alignment and consistency of process and procedures.

  16. Designs and conducts maintenance audits/assessments at company facilities to identify areas for improvements.

  17. Supervise maintenance associates and managers in the performance of their duties.

     

Job Specifications

  1. Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution is preferred.

  2. 5-10 years of progressive technical experience.

  3. Experience in the food industry is preferred.

  4. Must be able to use CAD and read prints.

  5. Must have knowledge of Food Safety Principles, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and federal regulations established by the EPA, OSHA, FDA, and USDA.

  6. Must have strong analytical ability.

  7. Must have excellent communication skills,

  8. English/Spanish bilingual is a plus.

  9. Travel up to 25% of the time to Resers facilities nationally, 2-3 weeks at a time.
