Lead Mechanic

The Lead Mechanic will perform preventative maintenance of all equipment using CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management System), install new equipment as needed and keep records of repairs or modifications. Troubleshoot equipment failure and find solutions in accordance with industry and safety standards. Makes repairs and helps with upkeep of the facility, including lighting, HVAC, plumbing, etc.

Our Facilities & Maintenance department in Pasco, WA is now looking for a Lead Mechanic.

Key Tasks

  • As a skilled specialist, completes tasks in resourceful and effective ways.

  • Use CMMS to keep all equipment maintained in a timely manner.

  • Lead all facilities and maintenance activities and projects

  • Troubleshoot equipment and tool failure and make repairs to avoid production downtime.

  • Inspecting and maintaining production equipment including fixturing.

  • Develop and maintain a calibration schedule to be in line with ISO13485 specifications.

  • Execute action items from management and safety committee.

  • Communicates downtime risks to management.

  • Knowledge of welding and fabrication best practices and safety.

  • Monitor inventory of parts and consumables.

  • Maintain all aspects of the facility.

  • Operate lifts and material handling equipment.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    Your Background

  • High School diploma or GED.

  • 10 Years’ experience or 7 years with technical certification

  • Strong team player with a service-oriented mentality.

  • Critical thinking

  • Basic facilities knowledge – plumbing, electrical, HVAC.

  • Strong understanding of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment.

  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.

  • Knowledgeable in construction practices.

  • Strong computer skills.

  • Timeliness and dependability.

  • Able to work overtime.

Additional Information

  • Salary: Hourly rate starting at $33.65 per hour, paid bi-weekly.

  • Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 5:00am – 3:30pm with OT possibilities.

  • Vacation or PTO: During initial year of employment: Up to 80 hours of vacation, which will be prorated based upon start date. After initial year of employment, earn 136 vacation hours.

  • Sick Time: Per Washington State law, one hour of sick time for every 40 hours worked, with the ability to roll over up to 144 hours into the next year.

  • Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision benefit options beginning first day of employment.

  • Long Term Disability and Company Provided Life Insurance Policy for all employees

  • 401K eligibility on the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment. Permobil offers Safe Harbor matching, with immediate vesting.

  • Holidays: 10 paid company holidays per year.
