Job Description

Job Summary:

Maintains current credential files on all employed/contracted physicians for physician groups.


  • Assists in meeting with each new physician in order to obtain signature on all initial payor applications.

  • Completes all payor applications for new physicians.

  • Notifies contracted payors of any physician changes or other pertinent information.

  • Develops, updates, and maintains matrix of physician participation/enrollment with contracted payors and distributes to management, physicians and office staff.



  • Preferred Credential(s):

  • Tech specializing in Patient Accounts credentialed from the American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management (AAHAM).


  • HS or Equivalent

  • High School or Equivalent Diploma preferred Post High School training and/or education preferred

Work Experience:

  • Three (3) years medical secretarial experience and proficiency in use of computers required. Ability to read, write and speak English fluently required.
