Associate Inspector

 The Associate Inspector performs procedures include the evaluation of raw materials, in-process components, finished products, and equipment quality control to ensure a quality product.

Our Final Quality Control department in Pasco, WA is now looking for a Associate Inspector.

Key Tasks

  • Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.

  • Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice.

  • Normally follows established procedures on routine work, requires instructions only on new assignments.

  • Perform inspections, checks, and tests on wheelchair frames, wheelchair components, and finished wheelchairs, based on defined criteria, using standard physical, mechanical, and/or electrical measurements.

  • Accept or reject finished products and/or components based on predetermined inspection criteria.

  • Conduct and document process and system audits using written procedures as audits standards.

  • Accurately document inspection and testing results.

  • Maintain controlled document files and test records in timely and accurate manner.

  • Monitor critical equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper operation and calibration.

  • Participate in construction and/or revision of inspection procedures.

  • Assist in writing and updating inspection procedures, protocols, and checklists.

  • Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible corrective action.

  • Review device history records and other documentation for compliance with established procedures.

  • Perform detailed and accurate counting and mathematical calculations.

  • Follow direction, procedures, and instructions for all work assignments.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and awareness of surroundings.

  • Support all quality, safety, and environmental programs.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Duties and responsibilities may change from time to time.

    Your Background

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • 2+ years of Quality Control experience preferred.

  • Mechanical aptitude preferred.

  • Typically requires a minimum of 3-5 years of related experience. Typically requires a general education, vocational training and/or on-the-job training

  • Proficiency in the English Language (written and oral).

  • Strong communication, reading, counting, and math skills.

  • Working knowledge of measuring instruments.

  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and perform accurate work.

  • Ability to read mechanical drawings

Additional Information

  • Salary: Hourly rate of $18.00 per hour, paid bi-weekly.

  • Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 5:00am – 3:30pm with OT possibilities.

  • Vacation or PTO: During initial year of employment: Up to 80 hours of vacation, which will be prorated based upon start date. After initial year of employment, earn 136 vacation hours.

  • Sick Time: Per Washington State law, one hour of sick time for every 40 hours worked, with the ability to roll over up to 144 hours into the next year.

  • Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision benefit options beginning first day of employment.

  • Long Term Disability and Company Provided Life Insurance Policy for all employees

  • 401K eligibility on the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment. Permobil offers Safe Harbor matching, with immediate vesting.

  • Holidays: 10 paid company holidays per year.
