Mechanical Aptitude and Positive Attitude Wanted! A growing manufacturing firm in Pasco is looking for an assembler & shipper to make common jacks uncommonly safer for various industries. We also provide battery cables, battery boxes, and ground support equipment for private and small commercial aircraft. Attention to detail is a must. The day shift starts at 7 am on weekdays.
This is an entry-level position for someone who is mechanically inclined or has experience using hand tools, air tools, soldering, and packaging tools. The physical demands require the employee to be on their feet for most of the day, regularly lift and /or move up to 15 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 to 80 pounds.
Summary of Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assemble components of various parts and materials according to prescribed illustrations and SOPs necessary for the daily production of required units. The performance of assembly and sub-assemblies will require multiple processes, tasks, and duties. Possess the ability to work efficiently and precisely in a fast-paced environment.
ASSEMBLY:
- Position parts in a specified relationship to each other as prescribed in each sub-station's SOP.
- Works at the assigned bench (station) utilizing specific parts, plans, drawings, and SOPs as required---Assembles products using the prescribed tools following SOP, including all hardware, grips, and labels.
- Quality inspects completed work to complete assembly and proper operation.
SHIPPING:
- Receives product from powder coat and confirms QA duties before entering into stock.
- Reads Shipping Documents and determines what needs to ship.
- Pulls stock or assembles product as required to fill orders.
- Boxes products so that the parts are protected during shipment per company standards.
- Verifies that all items and materials are in each order. (Quality)
- Ships product via UPS, FedEx, or USPS as required.
- Keeps the shipping area clean and uncluttered.
- Periodically works in other areas as needed. (within the scope of knowledge and skills level required for production needs)
- Must be adaptable and be able to perform other duties assigned as subsequent business needs dictate.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities; however, due diligence is an individual's responsibility for every task. Example: The Assembler must maintain consistency in quality work performance by inspecting the quality of the preceding unit as it passes from one workstation to the next.
