Consultant, please conduct seated interview. Period of intended Employment: 1/15/2025-11/15/2025.Location: Mesa, Washington. Applicant \"MUST HAVE\" 1 year of experience. Job Duties :Perform maintenance and repairs on various types of farm machinery, including tractors, harvesters, irrigation systems, and other specialized equipment. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in equipment and implement corrective actions. Conduct routine inspections of farm equipment to ensure proper functioning and prevent breakdowns during field operations. Replace, fix, or adjust parts, such as bearings, belts, and gears, using hand tools and power tools. Operate diagnostic and testing equipment to assess the functionality of machinery and detect malfunctions. Perform preventative maintenance tasks, including lubricating equipment, replacing fluids, and checking tire pressure. Calibrate farm equipment for planting, fertilizing, spraying, and harvesting to ensure optimal field performance. Maintain records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and parts inventories. Ensure safety standards are met and followed during all repair and maintenance activities. Work with farm operators to provide recommendations for equipment use and proper maintenance practices. Travel to different fields or locations as necessary to conduct on-site repairs and adjustments. Worker must possess 12 months as farm equipment mechanic experience. Basic drivers license required (class D). Read, write, comprehend written instructions is a requirement. Must be able to lift and/or load 60lbs. Employer reserves the right to conduct employer-paid random, upon suspicion and/or post-accident drug testing in accordance with state law. Any employee who declines to take or fails a drug test will be immediately terminated. Work may take place when temperatures are below freezing and above 100 degrees Fahrenheit. May require extensive pulling and/or pushing of tools, wheelbarrows, etc. May require worker to sit and/or walk for extensive periods of time. Workers will be required to stoop and/or bend over while performing farm labor. There will be repetitive movements while performing farm labor duties. Field work begins at assigned time shortly after daylight. Work may be performed during light rain and in high humidity and in freezing or high heat temperatures. The worker may be required to work in the orchard when trees are wet with dew/rain and should have suitable clothing for variable weather conditions. Workers must be able to listen, understand, and follow the instructions of company supervisors and managers. The Worker may never ride on agricultural equipment not designed for work related riding purposes or any other non-passenger intended equipment unless instructed and authorized by the employer or supervisor to do so. All work-related injuries must be immediately reported to the crew leader, foreman, or supervisor. Full Growing Season Commitment: The job offered requires that the worker be available for work and perform the assigned work for the assigned employer through the full period of employment in accordance with sections A.3 and A.4 of the ETA 790. Training: There will be a demonstration period to familiarize workers with job specification and to demonstrate proper work methods and other crop specific issues such as particular grading specifications. Workers will be compensated for all training. Cannot be color blind due to the need to distinguish colors of the product, able to use any agricultural tools, no smoking, illegal drugs, alcohol, or weapons of any sort in the housing or work fields. Proficiency in English or Spanish is required for training and safety purposes. This work may entail exposure to plant pollens, insects, and noxious plants, and to fields and plant materials hich have been treated with insect and/or disease control sprays. The employer will comply with all worker protection standards and re-entry restrictions applicable to pesticides and other chemicals used in the fields. Workers are also required to comply with all applicable worker protection standards and re-entry times. Must be able to perform all duties within this job description in what can be considered a safe manner adhering to all established orchard safety guidelines, practices and procedures. Must wear all required and assigned personal protective equipment at all times when required to do so. Worker must wear proper clothing and footwear depending on the season. All footwear must be closed-toed and durable due to safety precautions. The company will provide instructions and general supervision. Workers will be expected to conform to the specific instructions given for each days work. Workers will be required to attend an orientation on workplace rules, policies and safety information. Individuals who are not employed by the Employer will not be permitted in or adjacent to the work site. In particular, no non-working children may be present at or adjacent to work sites or left in vehicles during the workday. Workers arriving at work with non-working children or other non-workers will be sent home.
